Tanauan Leyte Dominated Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival 2018

Note! An overdue post.

The most awaited Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival of Leyte held last June 27, 2018. I failed to witness this year festivities because of an important reason which I choose not to talk about it. But anyway, Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival is dubbed as “the festival of festivals” in Eastern Visayas. The festivities is joined by various contingents coming from different municipalities in the region. This year, five festivals from Samar and Leyte parcitipated the events. It was the  Heraite Festival of Leyte Leyte;  Buraburon Festival of Burauen Leyte; Tribu Pasaka Festival of Tanauan Leyte; Sanggutan Festival of Barugo Leyte; and Solosogi Festival of Balangiga, Eastern Samar.

This year is indeed a lucky year for my town because we won both the Pintados and Kasadyaan Festival 2018. Our Pasaka Festival bagged the Grand Champion for Kasadyaan Festival and also bagged the following minor awards, Best in costume, Best in Street Dancing and Best in Musicality. Our contingent for Pintados Festival the Tribu Mangirisda adjudged as the Grand Slam Champion for winning three years in a row. They also bagged minor awards, Best in Festival Music and Best in Tattoo.

I also would like to congratulate our contestant for the Bituon han Kasadyaan 2018 for winning second runner up and Ms Photogenic.
